Sixth Annual Career Clusters Institute

Please join us for the 6th Annual National Career Clusters Institute at the Marriott Atlanta Marquis in Atlanta, Georgia. This year's theme is "Career Clusters: The New Horizon." The Institute promises to give you more of what you are looking for— sessions and workshops organized into strands designed for specific groups, with more hands-on breakouts. These strands include:
- Career Clusters as a Model for Collaboration
This strand is designed for state/regional system leaders of education, workforce development, economic development, CTE, and post secondary systems - Career Clusters as a Tool for School Reform & Improvement
This strand is designed for district/system administrators, counselors and general education teachers - Implementing the Career Clusters Model – Issues and Ideas
This strand is designed for state/district administrators and teachers - Career Cluster-Specific Instruction and Implementation

Cancellation Policy: To receive a full refund, a cancellation request must be made in writing to NCTEF (National Career Technical Education Foundation) and can be faxed to 202-737-1106 if received by Friday, May 2, 2008. Cancellations received between close of business Friday, May 2, and Friday, June 6, 2008, will be assessed a penalty fee of one-half the registration fee. Cancellations after close of business Friday, June 6, 2008, will result in no refund.
Substitution Policy: Substitutions will be allowed at no additional charge until Friday, May 2, 2008. Substitutions after close of business Friday, May 2, 2008 will require an additional processing fee of $25 per substitution. To make a substitution, you must do the following: (a) submit a written notice of cancellation indicating a request to transfer payment and (b) at the same time update your existing registration form. Sorry, no onsite substitutions.
Registration deadline for the above rates is Friday, May 2, 2008. All registrations after Friday, May 2, 2008, will be $450 per person, individual, and $425 per team member. NO EXCEPTIONS! Registrations are limited to a first-come, first-served basis.

The Career Clusters Institute has established a block of rooms June 15th - 18th at the group rate of $129.00 plus tax per night. This special room rate will be available until Friday, May 2nd or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. Guests wishing to arrive early may do so starting June 13th and depart as late as June 20th, with room and rates based on availability. From Airport: Atlanta-Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport – ATL
- The hotel is 12 miles north of the airport.
- Driving directions: North on I-75/85 take Exit 248C (International Blvd). Turn left on International Blvd. then right on Peachtree Center Ave. Hotel is 2 blocks on the right. // South on I-75/85 take Exit 249A (Courtland St). Go to 3rd light. Turn right on International Blvd. Go 1 block to Peachtree Center Ave. Turn right. Hotel is 2 blocks on the right.

- MARTA, Atlanta's rail system, has a rail station right inside Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This service offers the quickest and most inexpensive way to get to downtown Atlanta Marriott Marquis. The station is located near the baggage claim area, at the North end of the Airport. A single $1.75 fare covers one-way train trips. Average travel time to the hotel is approx. 20 minutes.
