Terms of Use
This page states the terms and conditions by which you (“user”) may use the States’ Career Clusters Initiative (SCCI) website. This includes all sites with a root URL ending in careerclusters.org.
By accessing and using an SCCI website, you state your acceptance to be bound by these terms. SCCI and the National Career Technical Education Foundation (NCTEF) reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Your use of the SCCI website following any such change constitutes your agreement to be bound by the updated terms of use.
The terms “you” and “user” as used in this policy refer to all individuals and/or entities accessing an SCCI site for any reason. The terms “SCCI” and “NCTEF” (as defined above) include our agents and employees.
Copyright Notice
All materials on the SCCI website—including but not limited to text, icons, graphics, logos, button icons, applets, video and audio clips, software, and educational resources—are the property of SCCI/NCTEF or its content suppliers and are protected by U.S. and international copyright and other laws. All SCCI publications and products, including print, electronic, and Web formats (including but not limited to images, text, and illustrations) are protected by U.S. and international copyright law and other laws and are controlled by SCCI, unless expressly noted. The materials on this website are provided solely for the personal, noncommercial use of purchasers of publications or visitors to the SCCI website. Use of this Website
The following are acceptable and unacceptable uses of the SCCI website:
- You may not copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, sell, or distribute any material contained on the SCCI website, including but not limited to content and graphics, for any public or commercial purpose.
- You may download one copy of the content on any single computer for your personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep all copyright and other proprietary notices in tact.
- You may use email addresses on the SCCI website for personal, non-commercial use. Use of these email addresses for any other purpose, including but not limited to mailing lists, and the solicitation of goods or services, is strictly prohibited.
- Modifying materials or copying HTML code from the SCCI website is a violation of SCCI’s/NCTEF’s copyright and other proprietary rights.
- You may not use the SCCI website in any manner that will infringe on the copyright or other intellectual property rights of others or violate the privacy, publicity, or personal rights of others.
- You may not use the SCCI website to post, transmit, distribute, store or destroy material in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- You may not use the SCCI website to post or transmit material that is sexually explicit, defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive or hateful.
SCCI and NCTEF Logos
The SCCI and NCTEF logos are registered trademarks of SCCI and NCTEF, respectively. These logos are protected by law and may not be used without SCCI’s and/or NCTEF’s express written permission. SCCI and NCTEF retain the exclusive rights to grant or refuse permission to use their logos.

Other Logos and Brand Names
Logos and brand names displayed on the SCCI website are the exclusive intellectual property of their respective owners.
Use Outside the United States
SCCI and NCTEF make no representation or warranty that the SCCI website or the information contained or linked therein may be lawfully accessed, transmitted, viewed, downloaded, or otherwise used outside the United States. Users accessing the SCCI website from outside the United States does so at the user’s own risk and is solely responsible for compliance with the laws of the jurisdiction from which access is made.
Links
Companies or institutions may link to complete public pages of the SCCI website for education purposes. However, links to individual images, applets, or other content are prohibited. If a link is contained within a frame, the link must open within a window occupied solely by the SCCI website page. Use of images from the SCCI website to create buttons or highlight links is strictly prohibited. Groups or individuals who link to the SCCI website without clear evidence of instructional or educational intent will be directed to remove the link. SCCI and NCTEF reserve the right to request removal of any link at any time.
Security
It is prohibited to violate or attempt to violate the security of the SCCI website. Specifically, it is prohibited to:
- Access data not intended for you or to log in to a server or account that you are not authorized to access;
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of a system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without proper authorization;
- Attempt to interfere with service to any user, host or network, including, but not limited to, submitting a virus to the website, overloading, “flooding,” “spamming,” “mail bombing,” or “crashing”;
- Send unsolicited email, including but not limited to promotions or advertisements of products or services, or to email addresses accessed through the SCCI website;
- Forge any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any email or newsgroup posting;
- Use any device, software, or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the SCCI website or any activity conducted on this site;
- Use or attempt to use any engine, software, tool, agent, or other device or mechanism, including, but not limited to, browsers, spiders, robots, avatars, or intelligent agents, to navigate through or search the SCCI website; and
- Conduct any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the SCCI website infrastructure.
Violations of system and/or network security may result in civil or criminal liability. SCCI/NCTEF will investigate such violations and may involve and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in prosecuting users who are involved in such violations.
Termination of Use
SCCI, NCTEF, and their representatives reserve the right to deny use of the SCCI website to any user for any reason without notification. Any violation of these Terms of Use or infringement on the rights of the website’s sponsors may result in legal action against the user. SCCI and NCTEF, in their sole discretion and at any time, modify or terminate this website and remove or refuse to post any information, content, materials, or other offering.
